The data generated in Summit's zebrafish screens helps our clients to make informed decisions about their compounds throughout the discovery process. This can have a massive impact on the overall costs relating to drug candidates that might otherwise fail in the later stages of development.
All of our screens have all been extensively validated with known benchmark compounds and through industry collaborations. We currently offer the following toxicology screens on a fee for service basis:
The screens are all run as a concentration response. In addition the majority of the screens also involve measurement of compound uptake into the fish using our proprietary bioanalysis procedure. This allows compounds to be accurately ranked for toxicity and also removes false negatives.
In addition to our toxicology screens Summit also has a validated set of safety pharmacology screens covering visual function, auditory function and locomotor activity.
